The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) may be preparing a proposal that could eliminate the requirement for publicly traded companies to file quarterly earnings reports. You can read more about that here: https://www.reuters.com/business/finance/us-sec-preparing-eliminate-quarterly-reporting-requirement-wsj-says-2026-03-16/. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Narrow company or industry specific removals of quarterly earnings requirements will not qualify. Likewise a general removal of the rules which maintains the quarterly reporting requirement for specific companies will qualify. Any approving vote on a rule change that reduces the requirement to report earnings from quarterly to a less frequent cadence will qualify. The primary resolution source will be official information from the SEC; however, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
